Safety and competence
As an NICEIC Approved Contractor we are assessed regularly to ensure that we are competent and capable of meeting the relevant technical and safety standards and codes of practice.
Compliance with building regulations
Being an Approved Contractor authorises us to self-certify our work to the relevant Local Building Control Body where required. This saves you, the homeowner, both time and money when undertaking work that requires notification under Part P of the Building Regulations.
Confidence and customer protection
When it comes to electrical work carried out to domestic and commercial properties it is very important that it is done so by recognised competent contractors. Electrical work needs to comply with several strict safety standards. As our customer, our NICEIC Approved Contractor status promises a high standard of quality, which in turn gives valuable peace of mind.
NICEIC Approved Contractors benefit from training and information resources offered by the NICEIC. It enables us to not only stay up to date with changes in the industry but also know how to professionally approach a wide range of electrical situations.
NICEIC insurance policies extend customer benefits further. Both the Guarantee of Standards Scheme and the Independent Complaints Procedure ensure that our electrical work is safe and meets the correct technical standards that the NICEIC expects of us. Should complaints arise, concerning the technical standards of electrical work, that cannot be solved between us, the NICEIC help. They will endeavour to facilitate negotiations and reach a resolution without additional cost to you.
In summary, as a contractor with Approved Contractor status, our customers are employing someone who conducts quality work according to high safety standards. As a contractor, being part of NICEIC provides us with the latest in industry knowledge and training.
