Why We’re Proud to Be Awardless

Proud to be Awardless

(and Why You Shouldn’t Be Fooled by “Prestige”)

Every now and then, an email pops into our inbox that goes something like this:

“Congratulations! Your company has been nominated for the prestigious [Insert Grand-Sounding Name Here] Award. Simply pay the administration fee of £xxx to confirm your win and secure your trophy!”

Translation: We’d like to sell you a shiny object to put on your shelf.

Now, don’t get us wrong — there are genuine awards out there, judged by real experts, with no strings (or credit card payments) attached. But there’s also a booming side industry in what we call Pay-to-Win Plaques

You “win” before you’ve even applied.

You pay for the privilege. Often there’s an “administration fee,” or you buy a “winner’s package” that includes the actual award, a press release template, and the right to slap their logo on your website.

They email the same offer to hundreds of businesses in your sector, meaning everyone’s a winner.

It’s a genius business model for them. For us? Definitely Not

At , Juice Electrical Services we don’t believe in spending our customers’ money on glass trophies.

We’d rather invest in:

  • Training our team to be even better at what we do.
  • Upgrading tools and equipment so we can work faster and more safely.
  • Maintaining our NICEIC registration and Trading Standards approval (which actually mean something).
  • Drinking the occasional decent coffee on a long job — morale matters.

We’re proud to be awardless, and that’s not because our work isn’t good enough. It’s because we believe the only people we need to impress are you — our customers — and maybe the electrical inspector.

Our “judging panel” is made up of:

  • Customers who call us back for more work.
  • Clients who recommend us to friends.
  • Jobs we finish on time, to spec, without fuss.

Those are the accolades we’re proud to collect. And the best part? They don’t cost a penny, and they don’t gather dust either. Just take a look at our Google Reviews

Next time you see “Award-Winning” on a website or van, ask yourself:

  • Who gave them that award?
  • How many people were in the running?
  • And, most importantly, did they buy it?

As for us, we’ll stick to the real wins: happy customers, safe installs, and a business built on skill, not shelf ornaments.

No awards. No nonsense. Just quality work.
